AGRICOLA RESOURCES - PRESS RELEASE

SOIL GEOCHEMISTRY EXTENSION IN SHETLAND ISLANDS
NICKEL AND COPPER LICENCES APPLIED FOR IN SWEDEN
|
London: 19th October 2004 - An extension of the geochemical soil sampling has been completed and several strongly anomalous platinum and palladium sites have been confirmed on the Sandison’s Property on the Isle of Unst, Shetland Island. The directors of Agricola continue to be encouraged by the results and trenching and bedrock sampling studies will be conducted in November 2004.
As a result of high prices for nickel and copper on world markets Agricola Resources PLC has claimed for and been awarded four licence areas in Northern Sweden. Located in Pajala municipality, Norrbotten county, the licences, totalling 14 sq. km., and overlying Pre-Cambrian gabbroic intrusives have very large biogeochemical anomalies for nickel, chromium and copper. They are also associated with significant geophysical anomalies and are also considered prospective for platinum. The directors strongly favour Sweden as a country for mineral exploration as it has a large mineral potential, a low corporate tax regime and no mineral royalty. They will consider further licence application in Sweden.
The directors of Agricola accept responsibility for this announcement.
