RESULTS OF TRENCHING AT ENERGY RIDGE, HAUTAJARVI, LAPLAND COUNTY, NORTHERN FINLAND 17th October 2005

London 17 October 2005. Agricola Resources plc ("Agricola"), the OFEX-traded resource company involved in uranium exploration, is pleased to report the assay values of bedrock trench sampling at Energy Ridge, the new uranium discovery at Hautajarvi, Lapland County, Northern Finland. The samples were analysed at the Geological Survey of Finland's laboratory at Rovaniemi, Finland, by XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) analysis. Thirty-six major and minor elements were analysed. Agricola is pleased to report that 10 metres of bedrock were exposed in trench A and continuous channel samples of bedrock gave an average value of 0.36% uranium oxide. In trench B Agricola was unable to obtain representative bedrock samples and trench C had a 5 metre section of 0.16% uranium oxide. The trench locations are shown on www.agricolaresources.com. Commenting on the results Dr. Jan-Ola Larsson, Agricola's Technical Director said "We are very excited about the uranium results obtained. We have been lucky to sign a drilling contract as well and the first diamond drill hole, planned for 19 October 2005, will be vertically into this uranium mineralization. For the second hole we will step back from this zone and drill an angled hole (at 45 degrees) into the mineralisation to test its thickness."
