DRILLING CONTRACT AWARDED IN NORTHERN FINLAND OVER "ENERGY RIDGE" URANIUM PROSPECT 7th October 2005

London 07 October 2005. A drilling contract has been awarded by Agricola Resources PLC ("Agricola") to the Finnish company Oy Kati Ab ("KATI"). They will use a lightweight, rubber tracked Onram-1500 wire line rig WL-66 for a core diameter of 50.5 mm. KATI has a documented environmental policy and the environmental management system is certified compliant with ISO 14001 Standard. The drilling is due to start on Wednesday 19th October 2005. The drilling will be on the prospect located on the Hautajarvi exploration permit. Following suggestions from our investors we have given the prospect the English name "Energy Ridge". Further uranium assays on the samples of the reconnaissance survey from the Chemex A/S Laboratory, Canada have now been obtained and the average grade of all the samples collected is now over 0.3% uranium oxide. Agricola is awaiting the return of uranium assays from the trenching studies from the Geological Survey of Finland.
