SOIL SAMPLING RESULTS FROM SANDISON PROPERTY, UNST, SHETLAND ISLANDS
|
London : 1 June 2004. Agricola Resources PLC (Agricola) is pleased to announce the results of a soil sampling program conducted over the Sandison property on the island of Unst.
Four hundred samples were collected on a 50 metre grid. The samples were sent to AS Chemex Laboratories in Vancouver, Canada and were analysed by fire assay for platinum, palladium and gold. Large platinum (up to 0.122 grams per ton), palladium (up to 0.075 grams per ton) anomalies were located south of Nikka Vord. The anomalies covered an area of 150m by 150m. Minor gold anomalies of 70 parts per billion were associated.
Commenting on the results, Dr. Robert Young stated "the results are good, both in size and intensity of the platinum group metal anomalies. The area south of Nikka Vord gave higher results than the areas drilled in previous exploration campaigns. Trenching and bedrock sampling is planned for the area in September 2004."
The directors of Agricola accept responsibility for this announcement.
